Newton’s Laws and Classroom Procedures: A Survival Guide
Welcome to our classroom! It is my goal to create a productive haven for growth and development. By using imagination and creativity, I hope to make learning meaningful, productive, and a fun year for all students. Encouraging cooperative learning, incorporating language arts based activities, using technology, creating review games, and integrating different subjects, we can achieve this. Here are a few guidelines to ensure that our Language Arts classroom provides a safe and productive learning environment.
Expectations for Appropriate Student Behavior:
Five general rules will be listed in the classroom; however, the following are an outline of expectations that students will need to adhere to throughout the year in order to create a productive learning environment.

- Participate in class discussions by listening and sharing ideas.
- Remain focused on your work until “the teacher” dismisses you (do not gather your belongings before the bell rings). I will dismiss you, not the bell.
