A student who does not comply with the expectations will receive:
- Warning issued by teacher
- Teacher Detention
- Phone Call Home
- Written referral to administration
- Students are expected to attend ALL classes. When there are excessive absences, a lot of class time and learning is missed that cannot be duplicated. Please make every effort to attend each and every class. Passes received from Guidance, Nurse, etc. must be shown BEFORE you may miss a class.
- If a test, quiz, project, etc. was announced prior to your absence, you will be required to take the test, quiz, project, etc. upon your return to class.
- All assignment, quizzes, tests, or essays that are not made up in time (the number of days that a student is absent = make up time) will receive zeros.
- It is your RESPONSIBILITY to make-up all work by either checking our Google Classroom, asking the teacher, and/or contacting a homework buddy. Our Google Classroom operates in "real-time;" therefore, post your questions there and someone will be able to answer your questions about missed work - No Excuses!
- Classwork will be collected and graded randomly.
- Refer to “Be Prepared” section.
- If a Chromebook is left at home or is not charged, you are “unprepared” and will lose points for that day.
- Extra help is offered to struggling students as needed. Please see me for extra help in the afternoon. Please request a form to schedule an appointment. Make sure you come to extra help with “specific” questions and/or problems you are having difficulty with. Extra help is for students who have put forth effort but are still having difficulty.
- Please follow the technology policies and procedures distributed by the Edison Township Board of Education (see handbook).
- If you have problems with your Chromebook, other computers, websites or your internet, please problem-solve. Pen and paper are always options. Contact a friend, go to the library, etc. Don't just settle for, "I can't do it!" Use the problem-solving techniques discussed in class.
- If you have a question or concern that cannot be answered by your classmates on the Google Classroom stream, please e-mail me at: [email protected]
- I will not check my e-mail later than 8:00 p.m.
- All grades will be posted on the parent portal. Grades will be updated weekly.
